Battery storage for businesses is all we do
We are a specialist commercial battery storage business, operated by SEO Dons Ltd (registered in England, company number 16766013, at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ). We design, fund, and deliver behind-the-meter battery energy storage for UK businesses, and we do it the same way every time: build the number from your half-hourly meter data first, and only recommend a system that pays back on savings you control.
That focus matters. A battery is not a boxed product you drop onto any site, it is an engineered response to a specific demand profile. A general electrical contractor can wire one in; a specialist knows whether it should go in at all, what size it should be, and which of the value streams, red-band DUoS avoidance, demand-charge reduction, solar self-consumption, or resilience, actually drive your payback. We spend our time on that question so your finance team does not have to take it on trust.
How we work
We are independent of any single manufacturer, so we specify the battery that fits your duty rather than the one we are told to sell. Almost everything we install is lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) chemistry, chosen for its cycle life and thermal stability. Every design is worked to PAS 63100:2024 fire-safety principles, BS EN 62619 cell safety, and BS EN/IEC 62933 system safety, and we engage your insurer up front rather than leaving cover as an afterthought.
The commercial model is just as transparent. We report payback three ways, simple payback, IRR, and NPV over the warranted life, using the derated end-of-life capacity, and we hand over the full spreadsheet so you can stress-test every assumption. We model capital, asset finance, lease, and shared-savings routes side by side, with the capital-allowances effect, so you see the true after-tax cost. If the numbers do not stack up for your site, we tell you, and we would rather do that than sell a battery that will not pay.
Accreditations you can check
We hold the certifications a UK commercial storage installer should hold, MCS commercial certification, NICEIC registration, RECC and TrustMark where residential or charitable supply is involved, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 for quality, environment, and health and safety. Each can be verified against the issuing body rather than taken on our word, and our workmanship is covered by a 10-year insurance-backed warranty.
Grid connection and delivery
We handle the whole path: the G99 application to your DNO, submitted alongside the survey so the clock starts on day one, a G100 import limitation scheme where it unlocks a constrained connection, the design and civils, and commissioning. Installation is typically one to six weeks on site once the connection route is agreed, and an O&M plan keeps the system optimising against tariffs and DUoS bands for its whole life. Whether you run one site or a portfolio, the approach is the same: an honest number, built from your own data, before you commit.
